Classics Illustrated

Publisher Albert Lewis Kanter released a series of comic books based on classic books. When the series began in 1941, it was entitled Classic Comics, the series became Classics Illustrated in 1947. The art quality varies greatly, but some of it is quite lovely. Take a look at some of the covers featured in this videoClassics Illustrated are highly collectible, but since they were in continuous printing over the years, it can be confusing to determine when a particular comic book was published and therefore its value. king-collect does a good job of explaining how to determine publish date in this article
